Dedicated to the memory of Tim Rooke

This site is dedicated to the memory of Tim Rooke. In November 2020 Tim sustained a severe brain injury following a cycling accident. He died peacefully on 15th February 2021 having received the best possible care. We are heartbroken to have lost our wonderful man who was a much loved husband, father, brother, friend and colleague.

Thoughts

I was EA to Tim at EY many years ago. Tim was a rare type of person. He saw the potential in people and invested his time to help them soar. He was a grafter and not afraid of the difficult conversations. Tim for me was EY. He lived the EY values and principles, all of which I still hold dear and live my life by today. I am so proud to have been Tim’s EA. He made such a positive difference to so many. The world has got darker now that Tim is not here.

So many memories of Tim at Marine Wharf in Surrey Quays - it was a tough project but Tim’s constant support and and presence as the Partner on the project kept us going! His warmth, down to earth attitude and midnight renditions of ‘we are the champions’ meant so much to the team. Marine Wharf is no longer there (new build flats!) but we went down the quay at Surrey Quays with Tim’s memory stone and had a can of Stella in his memory. We managed to position him on the buoy so hopefully he’ll have the view of Canary Wharf for years to come! (Pics in pictures upload) I will always remember his big grin, boundless energy and generosity.

I had a big day at work today. While I was elated, I was also sad that I couldn't let you know in person about my small achievement. I am sure you are watching from up there and hopefully I made you proud. Thanks for being the most amazing mentor. You are never forgotten
